Santi Almenara is an illustrator and character designer from Lima, Peru, currently based in Vancouver, Canada. He graduated from Capilano University's 2D Animation and Visual Development program in 2022, and is looking forward to building a new career in this exciting industry.
After receiving his BFA in Graphic Design from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 2015, he attended the Pictoplasma Academy in 2017 for a Character Design masterclass. Highly inspired by Art Nouveau and Disney, Santi has worked in different styles and techniques, and even though his work is primarily digital, his love for green pens and watercolours persists. His work focuses on the exploration of identity and queer representation, wishing to use his platform as a way to educate and help others.
